OVERVIEW
A social-first campaign created to promote the Adidas Predator Mutator football boot.
The paid advert ran across multiple social media platforms and achieved a high engagement rate.
To maximise impact in fast-scrolling feeds, we combined live-action footage with hand drawn illustrated animation - an approach proven to capture attention and enhance product storytelling on social platforms.
Post-launch analytics confirmed the campaign’s effectiveness, demonstrating strong audience engagement and a measurable uplift in sales.
A key feature of the Predator Mutator is DemonSkin - textured rubber spikes that wrap around the boot to enhance control and spin. Making this feature visually dominant was central to the animation and overall concept.
I designed, illustrated, and animated all visual elements of the piece, while collaborating on the creative concept and direction. We ensured full alignment with Adidas’ brand guidelines.
The animation depicts the player mutating into an otherworldly, ‘demon-like’ figure as he unboxes the boots. This visually represented the idea that wearing the Predator Mutator gives the player an “unfair advantage” on the pitch.
