OVERVIEW
I was invited to be the artist in residence for the Teignmouth Jazz & Blues Festival over multiple seasons. During the festival, I created fast, on-the-spot reportage drawings of performances and festival life, using traditional materials including ink, graphite, and watercolour.
The live drawings were exhibited after the festival, where selected works were made available for sale.
I also used these pieces as inspiration to develop a series of digital illustrations, translating the energy and atmosphere of the performances into bold, colourful graphic artworks.
