CALIFORNIA
OVERVIEW
A self-initiated motion project inspired by the skateboarding and surfing culture of 1970s California.
The pieces explore a painterly, expressive visual style rooted in movement, freedom, and analogue aesthetics.
I rotoscoped archival footage frame-by-frame, applying digital brushwork to create a handcrafted, illustrative feel.
Each frame functions as an individual digital painting, resulting in a fluid, tactile animation that demonstrates the potential of this approach for branded motion content and editorial storytelling.
